Shift Motorsport was formed by accomplished and multiple title winning race engineer Stuart King. Stuart’s experience in race engineering ranges from Formula Renault to Formula 2 and includes GT and Prototypes. Stuart's achievements include multiple championship titles, including 2 World Series By Renault drivers championships.
After the demise of WSR Stuart switched his focus to GP2 where he worked at ART Grand Prix and helped Sergey Sirotkin to 2nd in the drivers championship in 2016. From 2018 onwards Stuart has been sub-contracting to Carlin racing and in that time has managed to finish twice in the top 3 of the drivers Championship and claimed the teams title in 2018 when running Lando Norris to 2nd in the driver's behind George Russell.

During his engineering career Stuart has been modifying and adjusting bump rubbers to meet his requirements. Over the last ten years Stuart has put his enthusiasm and passion into designing his own brand. Kinetic bump rubbers were born and in 2023 changed name to become a brand of Stuart's long term consultancy company Shift Motorsport.

Using all of his experience and knowledge, Stuart has been able to make the best possible range of production bump rubbers to meet most team's requirements. As a company we back this up with a bespoke service to make custom sizes for a complete ride control service, as well as offering a one-to-one personalised customer experience.
